Products - Leader in Composite Radomes and Reflectors
In the field of composite radomes, no supplier offers the depth of capability that
MFG Galileo does. MFG Galileo is the only specialist in the design and manufacturing
of composite radomes that is supported by a dedicated materials research and testing lab,
and part of a larger corporation dedicated to composites manufacturing. As such, we
provide the most highly researched, engineered and tested products - delivered with
superior customer service.
MFG Galileo has installed more than 500 radomes in 23 countries. Our radome design and
manufacturing techniques have been proven in the worlds harshest environments for surveillance,
air traffic control, weather radar, SATCOM, earth observation, telemetry applications.
From design through installation
and support, MFG Galileo Composites' engineering staff includes radome
engineers, composite engineers, manufacturing engineers, and mechanical
engineers. This synergy allows optimization of radome system requirements
to offer the very best solution.
MFG Galileo Composites uses
the best composite materials available - optimizing RF performance,
strength and cost. In addition to a variety of composite materials,
we have expertise with a variety of common and specialty coatings. Our
engineers are well known in the composite industry and stay current
on the latest developments in materials related to the design and production
of high performance radomes.
Generation II Radome
|
MFG Galileo’s Generation II radome design features enhancements
based on a Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA) assignment
to advance technology for ground-based radomes. The DARPA assignment
that MFG Galileo completed in 2008 focused on exploring new methods
to increase radome RF performance characteristics while decreasing
lifetime maintenance costs.
Among the features of the Generation II radomes is a new non-symmetric
geometric panel configuration, a design approach preferred for
some end-users, and an impedance-matched bolting seam. MFG Galileo’s
legacy panel configuration offers similar radome performance characteristics,
and now also incorporates upgraded features. Both panel designs
are now produced with composite technology advancements that result
in added durability and reduced maintenance cost.
